White Paint
Colour
When you think of white paint, it’s natural to immediately picture a classic brilliant white emulsion, one of the most commonly used colours in both heritage and contemporary homes. But white comes in a huge variety of different shades that include both cool and warm variations. That makes it an ideal colour to partner with everything from deep navy blue to the softest pastels and earthy browns. The art of using white in your décor is to choose one that complements the other tones in your palette, balancing with deeper, more pigmented tones as well as avoiding overwhelming lighter shades.
For a truly fresh, modern feel, combining creamy whites with neutral colours gives you that bright, light atmosphere in a sunny living room or conservatory. By using an off-white, you avoid that dazzle that brilliant white can produce, giving the room a softer, more relaxed feel. Dark hallways or alcoves come to life with warm whites, while a bathroom painted in a cool white with grey and blue touches feels clean and invigorating. Add a dash of pink to a white nursery and you have a playful, charming combination that perfectly partners with some delightful wallpaper.
Are your paints water or oil based?
Each of our paints are water-based, which means they are all low odour and have a lower VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) level than any oil-based paints. It also means they are extremely quick drying, meaning you can get more out of your project in less time. Volatile Organic Compounds contribute to atmospheric pollution when they evaporate (when the paint dries), and they can be found in chemicals used across many industries such as soaps, building materials, and cleaning products.
