Spring is in the air (if it ever stops raining!), and the desire to freshen up our homes, breathe new life into tired décor, or even do a top-to-bottom makeover is gripping the nation. Grand Designs Live comes at the perfect moment, with nine action-packed days of inspiration, ideas, and expert advice for the nation’s DIY’ers.

Grand Designs is a TV phenomenon where dedicated audiences can experience the highs and lows of bringing a design vision to life. Since 1999, Kevin McCloud has taken us on countless journeys with home builders who each have their own unique dream. Sometimes, it’s a triumph of organisation, dedication, determination and design prowess. Sometimes, not so much. But in every episode, there is plenty to inspire us all to try something new, something different, and something that brings our own visions to life.

At ExCel London from May 4th to 12^th, Grand Designs Live gives everyone the chance to get a little closer to the action, with one of the most popular home design exhibitions in the country. We're delighted to announce that Graham & Brown are playing a key role in this year's event as show sponsors.

Grand Designs – A World of Inspiration

That old wallpaper is looking dull and faded. The paint has lost its zing. But where do you start? How can you update your décor but hold on to the character of your home? What you need is a world of inspiration.

Grand Designs brings together exhibitors, experts and designers from across the globe and creates one gigantic mood board for visitors filled with new ideas, new colours, and new styles. From the Pantone Colour Of The Year - the wonderfully warm and bright Fuzzy Peach this year - to new textiles and new ways to decorate your home, Grand Designs Live is every home decorating magazine, and every Pinterest mood board rolled into one.

To prevent it from becoming too overwhelming, experts are on hand to guide you through the design process with informative talks and Q&A sessions. Exhibitors are presenting new and innovative ideas, as well as all the equipment you'll need to achieve that signature look.

And talking of signature looks – our stunning New Eden mural will be taking pride of place in the House, showing just how impactful a bespoke mural can be in any room. This is our Design of the Year 2024, and we love its vibrancy, richness, and sheer tropical indulgence. Whether you want to create a restful scene in a feature bathroom or want something a little more whimsical and enchanted for a bedroom, you can visualise just how show-stopping a mural can be with this full-size demonstration.

Mood Boarding with Graham & Brown

Let’s return to the concept of mood boarding for a minute. This year, Graham & Brown are key exhibitors at the show, and we’ve come up with a clever way of introducing you to the concept of creating a mood board.

So, what is a mood board? Put simply, it's a collection of visual cues, including everything from colour swatches to fabrics, pictures of natural wonders or textural prompts. It can be an image that captures a sensation or a memory or a photo of a sunset or a special place. A mood board is a very personal thing that is unique to you.

Our Graham & Bown Mood Board exhibit takes you through the process live so you can begin to create your own version. Our experts are there to show you how to Perfectly Partner paints and wallpapers so that you can make a synchronised look. You can even take away samples from our wallpaper collections and paint swatches so you can go home and start your own Mood Board journey.

Green Living – Eco-design for your home

Green Living is a big theme at the Grand Design Live exhibition this year. Green Living Live introduces a wealth of ideas and concepts for greener living, from solar power to more eco-friendly decorating products.

At Graham & Brown, we have a strong emphasis on sustainability in everything we do, from using water-based paints that are kinder to the environment, through to using 100% recyclable packaging. Live talks with the experts

Grand Design Live is a unique chance to access some of the latest home décor ideas, and panels of experts will be on hand throughout the exhibition to give you those all-important tips and techniques. Not only do you get a chance to meet the face of Grand Design himself, Kevin McCloud, but there are also seminars on diverse subjects such as creating a flowing and functional design in the kitchen, mindful design for physical, emotional and mental well-being, and bathroom renovations.

Our top tip: look out for our stunning New Eden mural in the bathroom exhibit. It's a perfect example of how a bathroom renovation can incorporate fabulous design concepts rather than the same old boring white tiles every time.

Room By Room ideas for every home

Whether you're planning on redoing every part of your home, from the attic to the basement or just want to bring a bit of zing back into one room, the Grand Design Live exhibition is a perfect opportunity to get inspired.

The Grand Design Live exhibition, which runs from May 4^th to 12^th, 2024, is held at the ExCel London Exhibition Centre. You can either book your tickets in advance online at Grand Design Live or buy them on the door. Children aged 15 and under go free, and tickets for carers are also available.
