Tell us a little bit about you both & your home.

We’ve been together for over ten years and married for one.  Jack works in marketing and David in buying. Our property is an Edwardian terrace in West London which we’ve been renovating for the past year.

What is your favourite part of the decorating process?
Choosing a colour palette for a room is one of the favourite parts and then of course seeing the full scheme pull together.

Tips you would give someone who is struggling to know where to start

I think if you buy things that you really love, they will all end up coming together in the end, but it’s always helpful to create a pinterest board at the beginning so you can always go back and remember your early vision for the space so you don’t veer off course.

Where does your decorating inspiration come from?

A lot of inspiration comes from hospitality spaces and hotels. The luxury of going to a nice restaurant for dinner or spending the night at a beautiful hotel doesn’t have to stop once the experience is over, why not bring that into your home so you can enjoy that every single day.

What do you love about Rivington Folly & Elderton?
When choosing colours for the house, we always want to go with a warmer tone so it feels cosy and comfortable, somewhere you can come in to and relax. That’s why Elderton is so perfect for us, a cozy warm brown. Rivington Folly is just a beautiful design and we love the bespoke nature around the mural and it’s hand-drawn nature.  Every time you look, there is something new you find in the design - just like an art piece which is exactly what we were after.

"@four_homes have recently renovated their gorgeous home in Southwest London, featuring our Design of the Year Rivington Folly - they created a piece of art for the home, beautifully framing it in our popular Colour of The Year, Elderton. Such a fun and creative ‘do it yourself’ way to add a feature piece of artwork to your living room" Iona Graham

Tell us a bit about yourself and your home.
I’m jazz, 27 from London, I moved to Leeds to study Viscom at uni and never looked back! My partner and I bought our first house in 2018 in Yorkshire and enjoyed renovating each room over and over again, as yes it absolutely has a positive effect on mental wellbeing. I started to develop a love of styling and finding out what worked well together and what made a scheme for a room.

What inspires your design choices?
During the pandemic we sold our first home and bought our forever home which was built in 1976- I have refined my interior style and have more of a ‘if I like it, I like it’ approach to styling our home.

Do you find there any wellness being benefits that come with updating your interior design regularly.
I'd describe  my style as earthy, retro, eclectic but still modern. I’d say I’m inspired by the 70’s era, earthy colour palette and lots of cosy textures.

What is your favourite part of the decoration/renovating process.

My favourite part of the renovation/decoration process is the moodboarding at the beginning, when the vision comes together and then seeing it revealed at the end!

What’s your favourite room in your house and why?

My favourite room in the house is (I want to say downstairs loo cause of how beautiful it is) but I’m going to say the living room. -a place where there’s plenty of cosy seating, by the fire and lots of blankets!
