Never be afraid of embracing the warmth and vivaciousness of red in your home décor. This brightest of primary colors comes in so many different tones that there's bound to be one that matches your mood board. Perfectly partner red curtains with warm colors to create an inviting and cozy bedroom. Or dare to be different by adding a swish of red curtains into a mustard room, juxtaposing the two tones and adding an earthy, organic element to your spare room. In a contemporary setting, partnering red curtains with gray paint is a match made in heaven. Go for gray hues that have a warm red or pink undertone rather than cool blue-grey colors.
Red curtains can add a vibrant ambience to a kitchen, especially when teamed with neutral or white paint. This effect can be echoed in a bathroom, creating a pleasing décor link throughout your home. As all Graham & Brown curtains are made to measure, they'll fit your window perfectly, adding pleated grace into a bedroom, embracing some on-trend eyelets in a living room, or our new Wave design in a chic dining room.
What lining do I need for my curtains?
We offer various lining options for our made to measure curtains. Each has its own practical properties while also enhancing the overall look and feel.
- Our standard lining is the most affordable option and is used solely to enhance and give your main fabric a backing, helping to protect the fabric from direct sunlight by filtering out the light in the room whilst also creating a nice drape. This light filtering option is lightweight and produces a soft natural glow in daylight hours. Available in ivory.
- Our satin finish lining is medium weight that gently filters out light whilst creating an improved drape and finish. Satin lining is available in ivory and white.
- Our blackout/thermal lining is a specialised heavyweight lining option and our top pick to eliminate light from the room when drawn. It also helps protect the main fabric from direct sunlight to avoid fading. Our blackout/thermal lining helps keep the room cool in summer by reducing the amount of light dispersing into the room, and during those colder months, it helps retain heat, making this a fantastic choice for bedrooms. Other benefits include reducing energy consumption and noise pollution. This option is ideal for windows and doors with a draft and gives a beautiful drape and finish. Our blackout/thermal lining is available in two colours, ivory and white.
- Interlined curtains contain an extra layer of lining that is placed between your main curtain fabric and the backing/lining. The interlining provides greater thermal efficiency and gives your curtains more body. This is a great option if you want your curtains to have a fuller look, creating a more opulent and luxurious feel.
What kind of fabric is used to make your curtains?
Will there be joins in my Curtains?
Larger curtains will require a join in the fabric. Curtains over 1260mm wide will have a single seam in the fabric. If your fabric contains a pattern, the panels will be pattern matched across the seams.
